Tell us more about yourself, when did you discover that you had a love for creating music?
I discovered that creating music is fun when I was 16. I loved music since I was a baby, my parents said. But I discovered that I love creating music by myself when I started performing. At the time, I was organizing music events with my friends, and one of my friends suggested why don’t I write my songs. That was the beginning of my songwriting.
You have a very pop and R&B type sound, what artists do you look up to?
I admire a lot of artists and listen to other artist’s songs every day. But I recently like Halsey, Tinashe and Bebe. Especially, I like Halsey’s songs. Her lyrics are unique. I hear her own words in her music.
On your website, it mentions that you like to portray an honest message through your songs. What stories do you like to tell through your music?
I most like writing songs about love. I always try to bring up my own experience and telling listeners that being honest is very important to build up a healthy relationship. Well, I’m the type of person who cannot hold words inside of me for a long time, so I used to confess my feeling right away if I like someone.
Tell me about your most recent song with Loftpop, “Still Want you”, what inspired this track?
I listened to this track and right away I thought “I wanna write this song”. I decide to write in Japanese and English because I wanted to write about love songs.
What is the music writing process like for you? How do you get inspired?
The ideas of songs always come naturally. It comes during my shower, while I watch the show and movies etc… But I tend to have lots of social interactions. For some reason, lyrics come up in my head when I’m having a busy day.
Besides promoting your music, your Instagram page also shows off your own personal style. Who are some of your fashion influences?
I don’t have my fashion influencers. I wear whatever I think is pretty. I go through social media a lot every day to have some inspiration though.
What’s next for you? More music, another EP, what do you have planned for the future?
I’m currently making my new EP. Songs are written in Japanese and English. I wanted to make my songs unique and exclusive. The EP will be released this spring. Also, I have another collaboration song with Loft pop coming up!
