The Torannce brand’s designs are one of a kind. They are sleek and modern, but at the same time timeless. They do an excellent job at keeping up with the trends to create looks that women will love forever. This is what Torrance had to say when we sat with them for an exclusive interview-
Where did you develop a love for design, so much so that you decided to make it a career?
It all began in my mother’s dress up box. She used to work for a Royal Family in Saudi Arabia & had returned to Australia with some of the Princesses old dresses which she had gifted to Mum. The materials were so exotic and opulent. I used to spend hours in that box.
Your design is sleek and modern. Why choose a design like this, and what does it mean to you?
I love a design that has the ability to stand out, yet be simple in contruction.
You say that you keep an emphasis on quality, using only the finest silk and leather. Why choose quality over quantity?
Having grown up in quite a poor family, I gained an appreciation for things we couldn’t afford. My mum used to have quite a few wealthy friends that would buy her designer clothes and bags. I would be mesmerized by the craftsmanship of these products. Their timeless elegance, the luxurious feel of the leather, the detail of the hardware. This was the beginning of my love for quality materials.
We strongly oppose the fast fashion throw out culture. Not only is it bad for our customers finances, it’s also terrible for the environment.

Keeping a timeless look is hard to do, but you manage to do so with all of your designs! How do you do it?
We are inspired by shapes that are timeless. Then it’s up to the material to do the rest.
Timeless, does not equal boring, we love nothing more than a statement piece. I have a real penchant for anything gold and sparkling.
Where do you see your designs and brand headed in the future?
We are looking forward to an exciting year of growth, establishing our roots heavily in Australia, with plans to open a new Flagship store in January and more on the future radar. Plus we have started to expand our wholesale into the USA and want to keep pushing that market.
