Spring/Summer 2019
Stop and smell the roses
Pierre-Louis Mascia collections are crafted and distributed by Achille Pinto, an historical textile and
printing company, based in Como: starting from raw fabric up to sophisticated finishing
techniques each step shows technical skills and an attention to details led by a passion for
“Made in Italy” artisanal crafted products.
As his eponymous collection celebrates its tenth anniversary, it is time for Pierre-Louis Mascia to
reconsider and shift the perspective on a new concept: the perfect laid back wardrobe composed
of easy to wear pieces that feel natural and good, that are sustainably produced, printed and
crafted in Italy by Achille Pinto.
More than a fashion designer, Mascia is a “dessinateur”, an artist designing himself, proposing a
lifestyle project verging to a true philosophy. The result is a sort of ultimate uniform that can
morph people into their true self and whose freedom is pure luxury. No fashion marketing, no
trends’ slavery, a more human relation with clothing and accessories.
Crafted from the finest Italian silk, the freshest cotton and newest techno fibers, the collection is
organic in its structure.
Outwear as a statement: the wrinkled cotton jacket, the military field jacket with large pockets, the
classic printed nylon windbreaker and the oversized parka. New urban basics with a twist: the
faded cotton overall with an easy fit, the day-and-night short sleeves silk pyjama with string pants,
the overprinted sporty t-shirt, a pleated dickey long shirt to wear over cotton Bermuda pants.
Along this unisex set of items, a more feminine wardrobe is composed of the perfect summer
oversized kaftan, a peasant dress with the bell sleeve, a long flowy evening dress, a feathr light silk
foulard caban and the special printed silk kimono to wear as an overcoat.
The moodboard is a world with plenty of visual references.
