What got you started in the fashion industry?
Ever since I was little, I have always had a passion and love for fashion. As I grew older, my passion for it grew. I would get fashion magazines and cut up all my favorite designs and models and make collections. Also, I use to cut up all my clothing and try to remake it into something greater. Imagine how my poor mom must have felt! But at the same time, my mom has always supported me and motivated me to be bigger and do more. She would always buy me magazines, fabrics, put me into fashion classes and schools like Parsons and Central Saint Martins, ever since I was younger. She has always wanted me to learn more about the industry, even to this day. Definitely my number one fan.
Are there any fashion YouTubers that you find entertaining and informative?
The Youtuber Hautelamode is a channel I always watch for reviews on fashion shows and how people dress.
What are some of the companies that always provide a quality product?
I think Dior and Raf Simons always provide amazing quality in their work. They are my biggest inspiration for fashion.
What do you find to be the most interesting aspect of fashion?
The most interesting aspect of fashion is that you can always create something new and creative. You always have a chance to come up with something no one has ever seen before and something completely different.
What is your favorite design that you created?
Any design that I create on a new silhouette is exciting because silhouettes are what make the designer.
What are some of the inspirations that you encounter today?
Some inspirations that I have encountered is the Parisian culture and how they dress so elegantly on the daily. They never look bad! Paris has been the fashion capital of the world ever since the 17th century. The way we perceive our desires, bodies, and eras shapes fashion every season, as it shapes us. Paris fashion is at the center of it all.
What pushes you forward to create new designs?
Every day I think about my name being worn and being out there, and I think about all the endless designs that I can make. I think about the endless designs and opportunities that drive me to change up the game. I want to create sustainable designs and change the industry. I also want to have my own fabric mills to create my clothes.
