“An evangelist is someone who helps people and I always knew I wanted my life to be focused on helping others”
I’ve recently written the Global Hustle book describing my jetset business lifestyle through practices & lesson learned. One of which is highlighted throughout my travels was the value of communication. With this said, I was introduced to the Visual Therapy brand that resonates with my core values. I’d love to introduce you to the compassionate, Jesse Garza.
“Fashion Evangelist is a term I coined for myself a long time ago. I was raised in a very religious household, my parents were christian missionaries. An evangelist is someone who helps people and I always knew I wanted my life to be focused on helping others. I was also gifted with an eye for fashion and style. I decided I would combine my two passions and become a personal stylist.
I help people become the best versions of themselves by guiding them in shaping their personal style. I build and curate wardrobes for clients that help them feel empowered and confident everyday.
What I communicate to my clients is that the Visual Therapy process is a collaboration between the client and stylist. It is important that we understand who they are and how they want to be perceived. It’s our job as personal stylists to build a wardrobe that represents the best version of themselves. At the end of the day, I know I’ve succeeded if my client’s eyes light up while trying on an outfit that speaks to them. Personal styling is more so about the feeling rather than the fashion. Getting dressed every morning applies to everyone, even though fashion may not. Dressing our clients is not about making a fashion statement but helping people make their own statement. My job is to save my clients time, energy, and to set them up for success. How you dress affects how you feel and how others react to you.
Through my creative direction, I communicate that authentic style is the most powerful kind of style. I believe our company’s image is authentic—it is consistent throughout our website, our social media, and our team members. Visual Therapy is a team of hard working stylists who love what they do and live for that “ah-ha” moment our clients have when working with them.
The traits that have helped me professionally would be my patience, creativity, openness, eye for fashion, sensitivity, and innovation.
